Swoon is an art magazine made to share the perspectives of creators who bring different paradigms together to create a sacred third thing. The word we chose as a prompt for our submissions is synthesis. Synthesis is the combination of ideas to form a theory or system.
As artists and members of the community we are in a constant state of synthesizing. We create new ideas and worlds through the creative process. We want to showcase this phenomenon in swoon issue one. Submit work you believe encapsulates the process of synthesizing.
